Baseball player. Won 102 games in a four-year span with the St. Louis Cardinals before a foot injury suffered during the 1937 All-Star Game forced him to alter his pitching motion, which in turn injured his arm. Later became a broadcaster famous for his malapropisms such as, "He slud into third." Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1953.
The repository contains two quotes from Dizzy Dean.
